The flower that becomes a fiber – Lotus meets silk
Lotus weaving is a precious cultural heritage of the Inle Lake region in Myanmar—a centuries-old tradition lovingly passed down from generation to generation. Nestled in the tranquil setting of the lake, the weavers' workshops and homes are located on floating platforms.
At the heart of this tradition is a rare, earthy fabric: lotus fiber – one of the most precious and expensive fabrics in the world. Its production is extremely complex and requires exceptional craftsmanship and a great deal of patience. Nearly 4,000 lotus stems are used for a single small scarf.

A country full of soul – the culture of Myanmar
In the heart of Southeast Asia lies Myanmar – a country of breathtaking beauty, where golden temples rise against mist-shrouded mountains and rivers meander through landscapes that have told stories for centuries. From the legendary Bagan with its thousands of pagodas to the tranquil waters of Inle Lake, Myanmar is characterized by rich culture, deep spirituality, and fascinating nature.
But the true beauty of Myanmar lies not only in its landscape – it lies in its people.

Experience Myanmar – Nature, Colors & Encounters
The people of Myanmar embrace their world with warmth, strength, and deep-rooted traditions. Hospitality is a given here – strangers are welcomed like family, and smiles are generously given.
Especially in difficult times, the true spirit of this people is revealed: community, solidarity and mutual support characterise life – with the aim of lifting up not only themselves but also others.
Despite all the challenges, the people of Myanmar maintain their hope, creativity, and zest for life. Their cultural treasures—from finely woven fabrics and handmade jewelry to music and dance—tell of generations of pride, craftsmanship, and identity.

Wear & Share – A scarf that gives hope
This scarf is not a mass-produced item—it is the result of careful craftsmanship, rare materials, and social responsibility. The lotus flower fibers are harvested by hand in a complex process and woven into high-quality silk—an art that requires patience, precision, and in-depth knowledge.
With every purchase of this scarf, you support women and children in Myanmar who are in need. A portion of the proceeds goes directly to the SANNI Foundation 's education, health, and emergency aid projects – including those for those affected by the earthquake.
At the SANNI Foundation, we believe in a future where beauty and humanity go hand in hand. Together with local partners, we strengthen communities, secure livelihoods, and create new perspectives – especially for those who need support most.
So with your scarf you are not only wearing a piece of exceptional craftsmanship – but also a symbol of hope and solidarity.
